Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our team at the NEWLY RENOVATED Admiral & Co Fish Bar.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing delicious fried foods while adhering to the highest standards of food safety and quality. This position is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a fish and chip shop and serving great meals to our amazing customers along with forming a great relationship within the team and being a great leader.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying station, including equipment and utensils.
- Follow food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure the highest quality of meals.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection.
- Conduct regular checks on inventory levels of frying oils and other necessary supplies, reporting any shortages.
Skills
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices within a kitchen environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Attention to detail, particularly regarding meal presentation and portion control.
- Previous experience in a fish and chip shop or similar restaurant environment is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.50-£14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
