Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator with both COUNTER BALANCE AND REACH LICENCES to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Operate forklifts and other equipment to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing goods.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, reporting any issues for repair or maintenance as necessary.
• Manage materials handling processes, ensuring that products are stored correctly and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and assist in stocktaking activities.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring that all lifting techniques are followed to prevent injury.

Experience

• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is essential.
• Basic maths skills for accurate inventory management and documentation are required.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
• Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for performing basic equipment repairs.
• Experience with materials handling techniques and warehouse management systems will be considered an asset.
