Operating through a network of 18 strategic locations, DCI Europe has become established as the premier and trusted provider of depot services, tank cleaning and transportation services for the ISO tank container industry in the UK and Europe. We are seeking a dedicated Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our team in Redcar on a fixed term basis of up to 6 months.

You will manage the Finance team whilst focusing on setting up and reporting on the new financial budget against the backdrop of our new organisational structure in the UK.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the Finance team in Redcar providing hands on support, experience and advice.
  • Setting up new management account reports, so the business can start to report its P&L against the new organisation structure.
  • Working with colleagues in the EU so management accounts and reports can be constructed in a standardised way.
  • Working with IT to capture data that will be needed to report variance analysis on Deport and Transport activity, which will help with monthly operational reports and future forecasts and budgets.
  • Set up a KPI suite for Depot and Transport activities, using system generated reports.
  • Ensure that the finance team stay on track with the completion of the annual audit.
  • Offer support when it comes to dealing with external bodies to ensure external reporting deadlines are met.
  • Ensure that monthly balance sheet rec’s take place, with staff investigating any discrepancies.
  • Set up a new Cash flow report which is aligned to the requirements of the US.
  • Working with IT and the commercial team to capture customer revenues across the various business activity, with the aim of creating a customer profitability model.
  • Help manage the customer aged debt, focusing on the top 20 customers.
  • Working with the Director of Transformation on any project work that requires financial input.
  • Working with the EU Finance Director to ensure monthly results and reports are aligned.
  • Producing ad-hoc monthly presentation reports for management.

Experience, knowledge and qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant with over 10 years qualified experience
  • Advanced Excel IT user, able to set up robust, user friendly financial models.
  • Working knowledge or Exact and Lucanet would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Pegasus opera payroll would be an advantage.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Will be a self-starter able to pre-empt, spot and react to challenges.
