Job Description

About Us

In the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare, mediSIGHT stands at the forefront, redefining the standard for Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for ophthalmology. Our advanced platform is meticulously designed to empower ophthalmic professionals with cutting-edge tools, ensuring precision, efficiency, and unparalleled patient care.

Building on more than 25 years’ experience and feedback from ophthalmologists and their teams, mediSIGHT is the latest generation of our industry-leading Electronic Medical Records (EMR) platform.

We provide clinicians with all the patient information they need to make fast, confident decisions at the touch of a button. Ophthalmic clinical research is our passion – we have helped our customers deliver some of the world’s largest observational studies and will continue to support research that improves patient care.

The Role

The Support Desk is a busy team, mainly dealing with emails/tickets and phone calls from customers. It is a great place to learn and develop as we work closely with other technical teams.

The successful candidate will provide first line support to our customers, examples of which include:

  • User access and account management requests
  • Patient record amendments
  • Training and guidance in use of mediSIGHT
  • Troubleshooting errors within the application within a given timeframe
  • Troubleshooting network and server performance issues
  • Working with technical experts to resolve reported issues
  • Raising awareness of bugs and reporting them
  • Using SQL to extract data for the use of pending investigations, regular data extracts etc.
  • Use of SQL to manipulate data and apply patches where required
  • Interfacing and networking with Medical machinery and PAS systems.

This is not a normal support role but a specialist role that will require a big investment in time and effort to learn our products and the Ophthalmology world we operate in.

This is a hybrid role based at our offices in Leeds for 2 days of your working week (Tues and Weds), but occasional travel may be required. The role is Monday to Friday with no evenings or on-call. Your working hours will be 37.5 hours between 8:00am to 5:30pm on a rota basis.

About You

The team cares for customers by solving problems and sharing user feedback with internal teams to influence product development.

You will work with a team of people with passion, natural talent, ambition and the desire to provide great service.

We don’t expect specific knowledge of ophthalmology, but we’re looking for a quick learner who is genuinely excited about our product, our market, and how we can improve the practice of specialist eye care.
