Overview
Due to maternity leave within the team, we are currently seeking a Front of House Skills Trainer to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract.. The FOH training team is part of our Learning, Leadership & Inclusion team and will play a crucial part in the delivery of Marston’s strategy to the be the #1 Local Pub Company in the UK. The ideal candidate will be passionate about learning & development, driven for excellence, and eager to contribute to the success of Marston’s.
In this role you’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of delivering learning solutions to meet the needs of our pub operations. You will be involved in the development and execution of training, delivering via a face to face, digital or blended approach. As part of this role, you’ll be collaborating with various stakeholders including the Commercial Marketing team and our Operations team. To succeed in this role, you’ll be people-centric, with a passion for hospitality, a confident public speaker and natural coach with a talent for building relationships at all levels. Nationwide travel is required as part of this role, so you will need to hold a full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
The Ideal Candidate:

- Thrives in dynamic environments and adjusts quickly to new challenges
- Proactive in finding solutions to meet evolving business needs
- Leadership experience in the hospitality/leisure/retail industry (preferably in a high-volume pub or bar environment)
- Confident in presenting to groups and delivering face-to-face, digital or in a blended environment
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- The ability to tailor communication and build rapport to influence and partner with a range of stakeholders
- A full driving licence, willingness to travel nationwide with access to a vehicle
- Knowledge of Power BI, Reputation & Beanstore/EPOS systems
- Understanding of policies and practices related to the hospitality industry such as licensing laws and EHO
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages
- CIPD Learning & Development or HR Qualification desirable
