Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, testicular cancer.
In our mission to stop men dying too young, we’re seeking a passionate Fundraising Assistant to join our London based team.
About the role
Corporate Partnerships are key income streams for Movember and are an area of growth for the charity. The partnerships team has a renewed focus on building long term multifaceted and mutually beneficial partnerships, across UK & Europe as well as driving new business to secure the future growth of our partnership revenue.
The Fundraising Assistant will work closely with the Corporate Partnerships Manager and the wider partnerships team to grow the year-round value and revenue of existing and new corporate partnerships.
You’ll have the opportunity to
- Provide administrative support and work collaboratively with other internal departments, where appropriate, to ensure the smooth and effective running of the Partnerships team.
- Support the implementation of a dedicated income strategy to grow the team’s high-value fundraising, inc. employee engagement, commercial and institutional funding.
- Support the Partnerships team year-round to deliver a remarkable experience for all high-value supporters.
- Respond to all inbound telephone, email and website enquiries in a fast & effective manner.
- Manage, track and fulfil corporate team merchandise requests.
- Co-ordinate any Gift in Kind from corporate partners, ensuring all are efficiently processed, logged and delivered.
- Complete any relevant data tasks on the CMS system (Salesforce) and provide relevant reports to the team.
- Research funding opportunities to help the team to grow a portfolio of high-value partners – Commercial, Strategic and Philanthropic. Look into year-round application cycles and ensure Movember’s meets the eligibility criteria for applications, to help contribute toward the team’s annual income target.
- Monitor the philanthropic funding environment and alert colleagues to new sources of grant funding.
- Ensure all corporate income – donations, employee fundraising, gift matching & grants – are processed accurately and thanked in a timely manner.
For this role, you’ll need
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Experience working in a customer service environment.
- Highly-developed organisation skills and ability to prioritise and manage several projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Self-starter with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Works well under pressure and to deadlines, with the flexibility and initiative to handle last- minute issues and projects.
- Good team player with excellent communication skills.
- Attention to accuracy and detail, with strong organisational skills.
Bonus points for
- Proficiency in Salesforce.
- Experience of account management and stewardship.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
- Language skills (French, German or Spanish)
