We are a restoration company in the Niagara Region.
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter/Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a diverse set of skills in home repair and maintenance, with a focus on installation, carpentry, and general maintenance person tasks(carpentry, drywall, taping, painting) This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and efficiently to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation of various fixtures and fittings, including cabinets.
• Conduct carpentry work, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
• Utilize hand tools effectively for repairs and installations.
• Interpret schematics and blueprints to complete projects accurately.
• Execute construction painting tasks with attention to detail.
• Assist in plumbing tasks as needed, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• Handle heavy lifting as required for various projects.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout all job sites.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.

Skills

• Proficiency in installation techniques and carpentry skills.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools and their applications in home repair.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for construction projects.
• Familiarity with construction painting methods and materials.
• Basic plumbing skills are a plus, with the ability to plumb fixtures as needed.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

• Overtime pay

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• carpentry: 4 years (required)

Language:

• English (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
