General Handy Person
Job Description
This is a fixed term placement ending 23/03/2025 with one day per week dedicated to numeracy training as part of this development opportunity. This training will be supported by MonCF.
The role of a general handy person;
Handy person to carry out general maintenance of properties:
A full UK driving licence driving licence is a requirement of the role
Skills: Experience of working within the construction industry an advantage, although not a requirement, this role will present development opportunities.
Woodworking: Carry out small woodwork projects. E.g. be able to build repair, or install cabinets, shelves, other small wooden structures.
Painting: Be able to carry out small touch-ups by fixing and patching, but also full re-decoration both Internally and externally.
Plumbing: Take care of basic plumbing issues. E.g.: Fix leaky faucets, unclog drains, replace faulty parts in toilets, and handle minor plumbing repairs.
Garden maintenance: General maintenance of gardens to include strimming mowing, weeding and jet washing.
Miscellaneous Tasks
Apart from the core duties mentioned above, the successful person will handle various odd jobs. These may include assembling furniture, mounting brackets, assisting with moving heavy items. Their versatility will ensure they are valuable problem-solvers.
Candidates must live on Anglesey for this placement.
Wage – £12 an hour, 38 hours a week.
