What you can expect in a General Machinist role at 2CM Innovative:

· Analyze and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables or study sample parts to determine the machining operation to be performed, and plan the best sequence of operations.

· Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including the computer numerically controlled CNC mill, a manual mill, and a manual lathe to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, drilling, precision grinding, and other operations.

· Machine product to specified requirements as defined within production shop orders, drawings and sketches or as directed.

· Measure, evaluate, and verify finished units to ensure they meet specifications.

· Perform routine maintenance checks, reporting improper machine function and/or check parts not being held to the proper dimensions.

· Assemble machined components to create finished units and subassemblies using hand and power tools.

· Capable of building complex tooling and fixtures as necessary to support machining requirements.

· Assist with machine testing with respect to application usage of the machine.

· Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical and operational issues.

· Maintain machines and tooling in proper operational condition.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.

What You’ll Bring:

· General machinist license or enrolled in the final year of an apprenticeship program.

· A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Machinist or Toolmaker.

· Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.

· Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).

· Professional knowledge of safety protocols when operating machines.

· Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative.
