Job Description
The SPTS division of KLA, designs, manufactures and markets wafer processing solutions for the global semiconductor and related industries. SPTS provides industry leading etch and deposition process technologies on a range of single wafer handling platforms. End-market applications include micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), advanced packaging, LED, high speed RF device IC’s and power semiconductors. The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.
- Part of multi-functional team, supporting the manufacture of semiconductor manufacturing equipment that follow stringent product change control criteria.
- Working with stakeholders across our Operations and Engineering Teams to support change control activities during the manufacturing process and after the systems are installed at customer sites.
- Creating new and maintaining existing Assembly, Test and System Audit procedures (SOPs – Standard Operating Procedures)
- Running multiple projects to evaluate replacement components affected by upcoming obsolescence. Generating detailed reports and incorporating these into customer presentations as part of the Customer Change Notification process.
- Creating and maintaining 2D drawings with AutoCAD Electrical in conjunction with Enovia, building your skills and proficiency in this area.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting faults and performance issues on systems assembled in manufacturing.
- Providing regular updates to the rest of the CE! team on project progress, summarising results in a written report or presentation.
- Establishing effective customer and team relationships to ensure clear communication of results and ideas.
- Planning your work and executing plans in a safe, sensible, and timely manner
- Has a passion for learning and development, continuously seeking for new knowledge and learning opportunities.
- Can think logically to provide internal customer solutions with a good attention to detail and foresight and ability to collect, filter and analyse data to build solutions for complex technological problems
- Has the ability to think creatively of novel but practical solutions to internal customer problems
- Is able to demonstrate strong Communication skills – You’ll enjoy establishing and maintaining good working relationships with both customers and colleagues.
