Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant: Candidate specification:

  • Graduated with a 2:1 or higher in Psychology, Health and Social care and sociology (or related field)
  • Strong academic background through GCSE and A-levels.
  • Previous experience working with children (desirable) and a genuine desire to support those with SEN.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new strategies for supporting SEN students.
  • Strong communication skills (Verbal and Written)


Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant: Job specification:

  • Supporting students with SEN needs by providing one-one or small group sessions.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons that meet individual student needs.
  • Build trusting relationships to support students social and emotional development.
  • Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Work closely with the SENCo to implement individual progress plans.
