Greenkeeper Level 2 Full Time

Job Description

We are looking for a hard working person with a cheerful "can do" nature to join our greenkeeping team at the golf club. Up to 45 Hours per week, working within a friendly team.

Normal hours Monday to Friday 6am until 2.30pm and some weekend work required from 6am until 9am. The hours will change slightly during the seasons to accommodate daylight hours.
We are looking for someone with a Level 2 or above qualification.

Please note you will require a full driving license for this position.

We are seeking a passionate and hardworking Level 2 Greenkeeper to join our dynamic team and help maintain the high standards of our course.

Role Overview:
As a Level 2 Greenkeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the golf course remains in immaculate condition throughout the year. Reporting to the Head Greenkeeper, you will contribute to daily maintenance tasks, work on course improvement projects, and ensure the course is presented at its best for players.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out daily course maintenance, including mowing greens, fairways, tees, and roughs.
• Operating a variety of turf maintenance machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assisting with aeration, top-dressing, fertilisation, and pest control.
• Undertaking general horticultural tasks to maintain the aesthetics of the course.
• Participating in course preparation for competitions and events.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintaining and cleaning equipment and machinery as required.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management (or equivalent qualification).
• Previous experience in greenkeeping or a similar role.
• Familiarity with operating greenkeeping machinery and tools.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in turf maintenance.
• A passion for golf and an understanding of course presentation standards.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
• Full UK driving license required.
