Group Accountant

KMD Recruitment is proud to be working with one of Cornwall’s most prestigious organisations to assist them with the recruitment of a Group Accountant. My long standing client boasts an excellent track record for employee retention and the successful applicant would be joining a well established, high performing, friendly finance team.

£45,000 DOE + excellent benefits package.

Your key duties at Group Accountant will include:

· Production of the group monthly management accounts

· Preparation of VAT return for the Group and submissions to HMRC

· Handle month-end and year-end closing processes

· Management of the sales ledger

· Reconciliations

· Preparation of budgets and forecasts

· Preparation of the draft statutory accounts

· Implement and streamline financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency

· Support the development of a data driven finance team

In order to be successful in this post you will possess the following key attributes and skill:

· Formal finance qualifications (ACCA/CIMA, or AAT), or equivalent experience

· Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and regulations

· Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills

· Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders

· Proven experience of managing and inspiring a team to deliver excellent

· performance

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
