Head of Care

Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Care to join Warrengate Nursing Home a premier dementia nursing home located in the picturesque village of Kingswood, Surrey. We are looking for someone who can lead by example and inspire others to support our residents to live their best lives with compassion, dignity, and respect. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting staff on floor.
• Ensure that all records relating to the care of residents are maintained and reviewed regularly.
• Supervision of care staff, training accountability and conducting competency assessments.
• Conducting night staff spot checks, weekend supervision, walk abouts and bedroom checks.
• Participate in the induction of staff to the home and their duties.
• Conducting regular senior meetings to reflect, evaluate and improve services.
• Support and develop champions within the home.
• Viewings and introductions to the home alongside registered manager.

What we’re looking for:

• Commitment to delivering high quality care.
• Previous team leader or head of care experience.
• Strong working knowledge of care standards and regulations.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills to support and nurture a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to £16.50 per hour
