This pivotal role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on advancements in plant breeding and the development of new seed varieties.

As the Head of the Field Services team, you’ll take ownership of all activities relating to:


  • Trials
    : Overseeing all aspects, including breeding, commercial, open day, third-party, and official trials.

  • Plant Propagation & Elite Seed Production
    : Managing seed purity, multiplication, and elite production.

  • Seed Production
    : Driving success in trialling and production activities.

  • Team & Resource Management
    : Day-to-day leadership of team members, machinery, and land.


Your Responsibilities

In this autonomous role, you’ll manage the team and facilities, set and deliver project goals, and provide technical and agronomy support. You’ll play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing field trials across multiple sites in the UK, ensuring excellence in every aspect of your work.


What We’re Looking For

Our client seeks a passionate professional with a strong background in agriculture/horticulture and agronomy. To excel in this role, you’ll need significant experience managing field trials with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

You’ll possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards as well as proven management experience, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
