Here at Marlborough Highways we are looking for someone who is keen to start a career in Health and Safety to join us as our new Apprentice. The Health & Safety Apprentice will support the wider Health and Safety team in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment at Marlborough Highways. This role will be based in Tottenham, London and is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in various aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental management, including learning how to complete risk assessments, safety audits, and manage compliance with relevant regulations. No experience is required and on the job training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Health and Safety Manager in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace.
  • Support the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
  • Help maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of safety training sessions for employees.
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to health and safety.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • A keen interest in health and safety and a desire to pursue a career in this field.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential hazards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
