Job Description
The SPTS division of KLA, designs, manufactures and markets wafer processing solutions for the global semiconductor and related industries. SPTS provides industry leading etch and deposition process technologies on a range of single wafer handling platforms. End-market applications include micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), advanced packaging, LED, high speed RF device IC’s and power semiconductors. The KLA Global Workplace Services (GWS) team is passionate about enabling the business goals and company culture through the delivery of workplace environments and services that foster teamwork, innovation and productivity. Our team runs a worldwide portfolio of over 3 million square feet, 135 sites and over 12,000 employees. In addition to ensuring the workspace and manufacturing facilities operate seamlessly, this group also provides employee and site services, such as cafeteria, transportation, security, and safety. The team is responsible for all construction and site improvement work to enable the business needs as well as align with the financial requirements.
- Develop high quality written procedures for health, safety and environmental processes and activities.
- Undertake accident and incident investigations and provide professional reports on findings.
- Carry out task, equipment and process risk assessments and assist in the development of departmental risk assessment programmes.
- Develop and deliver health, safety and environmental training to employees, contractors and visitors at all levels.
- Conduct internal audits of EHS procedures in accordance with the site audit plan.
- Support the development and implementation of site level requirements for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 programmes and participate in third party external verification audits.
- Undertake routine EHS inspections and assist in the management of the EHS inspection programme.
- Provide day-to-day EHS support and guidance to KLA departmental managers and staff so as to ensure, handle and promote effective operation of the site’s health, safety and environmental management systems.
- Analyse EHS performance metrics and respond in a proactive manner to promote continual improvement and minimize risk of EHS non-conformances.
- Shown EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. (Desirable)
- Candidates should hold a recognised health, safety and environmental management qualifications such as, NEBOSH General certificate, IEMA Certificate, NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety or NCRQ certificate.
- Knowledge and experience of health, safety and environmental management standards (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) (Desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of working in a diverse, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
