HGV 1 Container Driver Nights

Job Description

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a HGV 1 driver on behalf of our client to join their team in LEEDS, LS10.

Hours of work:

• Nights
• Monday to Friday
• Start times can vary but usually around 1600 – 1700 – will change depending on the needs of the business

Salary:

• £16.06ph plus £1.94ph holiday pay ( Total inclusive of holiday pay £18.00 )

The Role:

• Starting ASAP
• Ongoing work
• Container work / some general haulage / some trunking

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
• Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
• To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
• To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:

• Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat C+E licence.
• Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
• Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
• Good communication skills.
• Good customer relations.
• Have a safe driving record.
• No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
• No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
