HGV 1 Containers Day Driver

Job Description

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a HGV 1 drivers with Container experience on behalf of our clients in LEEDS LS10, and Castleford WF10.

Hours of work:

Days

Monday to Friday

Start times will be around 06.00hr but may vary depending in the needs of the business

Salary:

£14.72ph plus £1.78ph for holiday pay ( Total inclusive of holiday pay £16.50 )

The Role:

Container work HGV 1 work

Duties/Responsibilities:

Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.

Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.

To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.

To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:

Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat C+E licence for 2 years plus.

Must have container experience.

Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.

Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.

Good communication skills.

Good customer relations.

Have a safe driving record.

No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.

No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
