Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit for HGV 2/Class C driver on behalf of our client to join their team in Wetherby, LS23. This is a Temporary to Permanent position so the client will look to take suitable drivers on a permanent. This position starts ASAP

Hours of work:

• Days
• Monday to Friday
• Start times will be around 05.00hr – 0600hr
• 42.5hrs minimum pay per week when permanent ( Job and knock )
• Minimum 8hrs per day when temporary.

Salary:

• Temporary £15.00ph plus £1.82ph for holiday pay ( Total inclusive of holiday pay £16.82 )
• £33,447 on permanent basis based on 42.5hrs

The Role:

• Starting ASAP:
• Full induction and assessment prior to start date
• Ongoing work, potentially leading to a permanent job if successful
• Delivery of alcohol in HGV 2/Class C vehicle with a drivers assistant
• Delivering to businesses
• All handball and heavy lifting

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
• Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
• To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
• To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:

• Must hold a valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence for 1 year plus
• Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
• Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
• Good communication skills.
• Good customer relations.
• Have a safe driving record.
• No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
• No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
