HGV 2 HIAB

Job Description

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a HGV 2 HIAB Hook driver on behalf of client based in Darnall, Sheffield 9. This position is ad-hoc but the driver would be able to work for other clients.

Hours of work:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shifts
• 0700hr starts to around 1600/1630hr

Salary:

• £16.50p/h + £2.00p/h Holiday Pay (Paid up front) = Total to you £18.50 p/h
• Minimum 8 hrs pay per shift.
• Paid weekly.

The Role:

• Delivery of scaffolding products.
• Collections from businesses & building sites.
• No nights out, all day shifts.
• Minimal handball
• HIAB GRAB work

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
• Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
• To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
• To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:

• Must hold a valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence for a minimum of 1 year.
• Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
• Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
• Must hold a valid HIAB Hook Licence and have some experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Good customer relations.
• Have a safe driving record.
• No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
• No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
