HGV Class 1 Driver nights

Job Description

Class 1 drivers needed for immediate starts, full time ongoing work available.

We are currently recruiting class 1 drivers on behalf of our client to work at their distribution center in Aylesbury. If successful on assessment, you will be working for one of the biggest global transport solution providers. The role encompasses store deliveries and trunking. Please note that you will be delivering to loading docks of major supermarkets. There are no curb side deliveries.

This role is primarily store delivery with the odd trunk run as and when required.

Pay:

Rates are paid on a weekly basis through PAYE,

• Monday to Friday – £18.46 p/h
• Saturday – £20.00 p/h
• Sunday – £23.00 p/h

What you’ll do on a typical day of Store:

• You will be making on average 4-10 drops per day at cash and carry’s, large Superstores
• Full Time -You will be working a 4-6 days out of 7, fixed rotas like Sunday to Thursday etc could be provided
• You will be delivering dairy products using loading bays where you are required to assist with rolling cages from the back of the trailer

What you’ll do on a typical day of Trunking:

• Long Haul Driving work
• Trailer swaps

What you need to succeed:

• A maximum of no more than 6 points on your license
• Up to date CPC and Digital Tacho Card
• No DD, DR points on your license
• Good Knowledge of rules and regulations. Client works on 100% compliance expectation. You will have brake when supposed to have a brake, with tachograph always with mode corresponding to actual situation. No compromise to safety will ever be tolerated
• Minimum of 90 days of recent Class 1 experience.
