Job Description

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit Class 1 Drivers on behalf of our client to join their team in Melton Mowbray.

TEMP-PERM AVAILABLE – £16ph

ONGOING – £18ph

Hours of work:

• Night drivers required
• 4 on, 4 off
• Sunday to Thursday
• 18:00 starts
• 12 hour shifts
• Trunking
• Delivering pallets pet food
• Bonuses up to £45 per week

Salary: (all rates inclusive of holiday pay for insurance purposes)

• £16ph for temp-perm drivers
• £18ph for ongoing drivers

The Role:

• Trunking
• 1-3 runs
• Palletised goods

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
• Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
• To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
• To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:

• Good communication skills.
• Good customer relations.
• Have a safe driving record.
• Hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat C+E licence.
• No more than 6 minor penalty points.
• No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
• Driver qualification (CPC) card.
• Digital tacho card.
