Position: Lorry Loader Operator *Please be aware, this role will involve nights out, which can sometimes be all week, and therefore applicants must be willing to do this.*

Location: Northampton, NN7 4PS

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and manage the safe loading and unloading of goods and materials using a lorry loader crane.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, company policies, and FORS Gold standards.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance of the lorry loader crane.
  • Secure and stabilise loads to prevent any accidents or damages during transportation.
  • Collaborate with the transport team to ensure smooth and efficient delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to operations, inspections, and deliveries.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to environmentally friendly practices and sustainable transportation.

Requirements:

  • Valid CPCS/ALLMI qualification for Lorry Loader operations (desirable, but training will be provided for the right candidate)
  • Proven experience as a Lorry Loader Operator in a transport or logistics company.
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations, including FORS standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Good record-keeping skills and the ability to handle documentation accurately.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and occasional overtime.
