Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 drivers to join our skip fleet, delivering, collecting and exchanging skips to our commercial and domestic customers. If you have any experience of operating Skip vehicles in the waste management sector this would be advantageous but not essential. We would also be happy to hear from ADR holders.

Key Responsibilities Include:

– Loading & unloading of skip bins to and from various sites safely

– Ensuring the condition and safety of the load being transported, that the skip is not overloaded and correctly sheeted

– Completing all paperwork is fully completed including times, signatures, weights and comments

– Ensuring that vision aids and safety features are always used to protect vulnerable road users

– Responsible for completing quality, detailed daily checks and reporting any defects

– Act as an ambassador of the Company, ensuring correct workwear and PPE is always worn and the customer is treated courteously and respectfully

Skills & Experience:

– Full UK Class 2 License (Less than 3 points)

– Valid Driver CPC and Digi Card

– 12 months commercial driving experience

– Physically fit and able as this role does require a degree of physical activity.

– Immediate start would be advantageous

What We Offer:

Days shifts: Monday-Friday. Half day every other Saturday on a Rota basis. (Saturdays are always paid at overtime rate)

Working Hours: Between 06:30 – 17:00 Mon – Fri. (Between 06:30 – 12:30 on Saturdays)

Bonus scheme worth £40 per week (£1,920 per year)

Overtime Hourly Rate: Time and a half

Holiday: 20 days plus 8 days recognised bank holidays
