Household Support Fund Administration Officer
Job Description
We have an opportunity for a Household Support Fund Administration Officer to work for 16 hours weekly in our Revenues team for a period of up to 12 months. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and pro-active individual who is capable of dealing with a range of administrative tasks.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:
- To update and maintain the household support fund database and other systems as required for the administration of the household support fund
- To liaise with other officers as necessary in order to process applications
- To contact residents by telephone and in writing to respond to enquiries, ensuring evidence is collected.
- To verify applications and evidence provided by residents carrying out checks where required
- To collate information and refer applications to our partner agencies
- To report difficult and contentious issues to the Operations Manager
- To comply with Mid Devon District Council’s Customer Care Standards and Code of Practice.
The post holder will be required to deal with the checking and processing of applications to the household support fund. Resolving problems/ issues as they arise and referring these to the Operations Manager where necessary. To refer applications with supporting information to our partner agencies.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £25,584.00-£27,269.00 per year
