Mount Cook Adventure Centre is a not-for-profit outdoor activity centre. We have exciting opportunities for hard-working, passionate housekeepers with an excellent eye for detail. If you are a self-motivated, driven and enthusiastic person who can adapt to a wide variety of cleaning tasks in a fast-paced environment, then this is the job for you.

Our housekeepers will be expected to undertake of a variety of tasks such as:

• Cleaning bedrooms in line with current procedures
• Reporting any maintenance issues
• Cleaning public and en-suite bathrooms in line with current procedures
• Cleaning social areas to consistent standards
• Cleaning a self-catered kitchenette in line with Food Hygiene practices

• Can work well as part of a team and use their initiative when lone working
• Physically capable to undertake cleaning duties of bunk bed accommodation – ability to lift ~20kg load

• Share in the values and beliefs of Mount Cook Adventure Centre

Usual working times are either 07:00 – 11:00 or 16:00 – 20:00, including weekend and weekday work.

This role is subject to a DBS check and in line with the requirement of the current immigration and asylum legislation, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the U.K.

Pay is currently will increase in line with NMW in April 2024.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months

Pay: From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
