Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a HSE advisor for our client based near Maldon.
Main purpose of the role is to play a key role in enhancing the company’s HSE standards, practices and culture with the chance to make a real impact in an expanding company.
Main Duties
· Ensuring operations are compliant with both UK legislation and in line with wider Group strategy for Health, Safety and Environment.
· Further develop and implement the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System with the objective of achieving ISO 45001.
· Accurately track Health, Safety and Environment performance metrics, conduct thorough incident investigations, and identify root caused to prevent recurrence.
· Provide support and training to the workforce on health and safety and environment issues are required.
· Manage internal site and systems audits and inspections and represent the company during external audits, ensuring compliance and driving improvements.
· Support the quality advisor to maintain ISO 9001 certification.
Skills and Experience
· Experience in a similar role within relevant sectors such as: engineering, marine operations, manufacturing, or related industry background.
· Ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
· NEBOSH / NCRQ Diploma or NVQ Level 5 (of equivalent) Ideally IOSH Chartered or Chartered or Certified Member.
This is a temporary position which will lead to permanent after 13 completed weeks.
In return our client is offering a competitive salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience.
