Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the CEO, you will proactively establish and maintain a system that promotes a culture of safe working practices for the production of world-leading innovations.
  • Act as the lead competent person for environment, health and safety, as defined by the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, and Environmental Policy.
  • Ensure the group of companies complies with current legislation, approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to employment and service provision.
  • Manage the Environmental, Health and Safety team

What We’re Looking For

  • Current, valid driving licence,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of operating in a health, safety and environmental position
  • Knowledge and understanding of all legislative requirements and Codes of Practice relating to occupational health, safety and environment
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively

What You’ll Bring:


  • Environmental Expertise:
    Strong knowledge of environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and regulations, including ISO 14001 or similar standards.

  • Safety Credentials:
    NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management (or equivalent) and ideally Chartered IOSH status.

  • Proven Experience:
    A track record of success in manufacturing environments, with an understanding of DSEAR, PUWER, and COSHH.

  • Leadership Skills:
    Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change, engage teams, and deliver measurable results.

  • Continuous Improvement Mindset:
    A passion for innovation and best practices in both environmental and safety management.

  • Self-Motivation:
    Highly organised and driven, ready to tackle challenges head-on.
