Location: Old Sarum, Salisbury

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00

Package: Basic salary up to £28,000 (dependent on experience) + Bonus/OTE and company benefits

About the Role
As an Internal Sales Coordinator at GWP Group (a Macfarlane Packaging company), you’ll join a close-knit team at our Old Sarum site near Salisbury. With a 30-year history of producing sustainable, eco-friendly packaging, and as part of the UK’s largest packaging distributor, this role offers stability and exciting growth potential. This position is ideal for someone with strong numerical, organisational, and communication skills who thrives on contributing to team success. You’ll play a key role in supporting our customers and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager, your core duties will include:

  • Managing customer enquiries and providing professional, polite, and productive communication.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and building strong rapport with clients.
  • Creating accurate estimates using bespoke software (full training provided).
  • Coordinating the enquiry process from initial brief to design, order, and delivery.
  • Following up on quotes to secure orders in a timely manner.
  • Prioritising tasks, ensuring attention to detail while managing multiple responsibilities.

About You
We welcome applications from candidates with experience in sales or customer service roles, or those with transferrable skills. Key skills and qualities include:

  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, and colleagues. High levels of numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow procedures and processes accurately.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and a presentable appearance.
  • Some background/understanding from a manufacturing, production, or technical business could be advantageous but not essential (training provided).

Internal Sales

Our client, a well-established, leading importer and distributor of packaging machinery and packaging materials are in search of an Internal Sales candidate to join their team in the Craigavon Area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales and leads Whilst growing the business, developing, and creating a strong pipeline with clients.
  • Develop an understanding of the business and its current and prospective products and services.
  • Meeting with and understanding the client’s products and services and understand the client’s specific requirement to help design and provide efficient storage solutions.
  • Pipeline management and weekly forecasting of business generated.
  • Developing and delivering sales presentations or meetings. Including Attending conferences, buyer events, sales conventions, etc.
  • Complying with all internal and external processes and quality systems relevant to the role

The successful candidate must have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team, a team player is essential
  • Be accountable, reliable and hands on
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, together with a proactive and positive approach
