Inventory Stores Controller
Job Description
We are looking for an eager and diligent Inventory Stores Controller to join Deanestor Limited, the market leader for undertaking furniture subcontracts in specialist furniture sectors.
The successful candidate will have experience of working within a manufacturing environment and have a strong background working within and inventory controlling environment.
This role is perfect for someone with a passion for data and a drive to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment. Having experience in using technology in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is key.
You will be working as part of a team and will be reporting into the manufacturing Management team.
Pay Rate Negotiable Depending on Experience
As the Inventory stores controller, you will:
Requirements:
- You’ll have a good understanding of inventory processes and how IT systems can support these operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, root cause analysis and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey numerical information accurately to stakeholders.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the latest best practices on how we manage inventory within our facility.
- Experience in working collaboratively in a team setting, including liaising with external partners and vendors.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changes in a dynamic working environment.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain detailed documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for inventory related issues within the manufacturing facility, troubleshooting and minimising downtime.
- Carry out stock counts at the end of each production run prior to materials being returned, and ensuring these are accurately reflected in the system.
- Identify and resolve any variances between system records and physical inventory through regular stock counts within our manufacturing area.
- Work closely with our finance, planning and product supply teams to quickly address and resolve any stock discrepancies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to enhance the ERP system, streamline workflows, and ensure accurate data flow across functions.
- Utilise data-driven decision making to identify trends, anticipate inventory needs, and drive continuous improvement in inventory control processes.
- Support with Purchasing & Production schedules with regards to stock allocation.
- Play a key role in conducting regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
- Set and adjust par levels and manage ordering and replenishment of stock not included in BOMs.

Pay: From £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
