Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by sanitizing surfaces and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
• Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks as required to ensure the overall upkeep of the premises.
• Report any repairs or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals is an asset.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Good English communication skills to interact effectively with team members and facility users.
• Must have reliable vechile
• Must be willing to travel to work within 20 minutes of Guelph
• No Chemical Allergies
• MUST Reside in The Guelph Area

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week

Experience:

• Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
• janitorial: 1 year (preferred)
