Journeyman Boom Truck Operator Position in Red Earth Creek, Ab
Job Description
Looking to hire journeyman picker operator to work in Red Earth Creek, Ab. Will consider the right apprentice.
Class 1 license is required
Standard oilfield tickets are an asset but not immediately required.
Would prefer someone with winch experience as well, the more versatile the better.
Mechanically inclined would also be an asset, as basic troubleshooting is a requirement.
Must be motivated and able to work successfully with minimal supervision, must be willing to learn.
We have 2 Weldco swing cab cranes, winch tractors, bed truck, highway tractor and smaller knuckle pickers. We repair, service and setup pumpjacks, as well as move service rigs, experience in any of these would also be an asset. Also, general oilfield lifting.
Housing is provided for employees, employees have their own room and must cook and clean up after themselves, as well as supply their own food and bedding. Cookware, appliances and furniture are provided.
Three month probationary period.
Starting wage of $45 to $55 per hour, this depends upon years and type of experience and skill. Overtime after 8 hours, holiday pay paid out every 2 week pay period. Steady hours year round with more in peak seasons. Please call to discuss wage, as every applicant has different experience, and a better assessment can be made from an interview.
Shift would be 2 weeks on and 1 week off, with flexibility to the right person.
