Junior Electrical Estimator
Meel Group is seeking an ambitious Junior Electrical Estimator to join our rapidly growing MEP contracting company based in Cheshire. As a vital member of our team, you will be mentored by Senior Electrical Estimators, enabling you to produce high-quality, competitive estimates for commercial projects across the North West.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates from an electrical background who are eager to kick start their career in estimating. We welcome Electricians, Site Supervisors, or Electrical Engineering graduates with a passion for the industry, and an eagerness to learn the estimating trade.
As Meel Group’s Junior Electrical Estimator, you will receive full investment in your career progression, including a comprehensive training programme, and a guided pathway towards membership of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Main responsibilities:
– Review tender documents, drawings and project specifications alongside Estimating team
– Prepare accurate and detailed estimates, tenders and quotations
– Collaborate with Clients, Project Managers and engineers to ensure estimates meet project requirements
– Attend site and client meetings, and conduct tender presentations to secure opportunities
– Foster and maintain strong working relationships internally and with clients
– Update internal databases and records to maintain clarity in tender process
– Develop and refine the estimation process
Requirements:
– Electrical background, whether from experience on the tools or a degree
– 0-2 years of Electrical Estimating experience
– Eagerness to begin or develop estimating career
– Willingness to learn
