Contract: Long-term, Full-time
Salary: Pay according payscale.
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated KS1 Teacher to join a supportive 3 form entry primary school based in Barnet on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to nurture young learners during a crucial stage in their development, fostering a love for learning and building the foundations of their academic journey. You’ll have the freedom to create an engaging, creative, and supportive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the KS1 curriculum, supporting students in their early learning stages.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where each child feels valued and supported.
- Use assessment strategies to monitor student progress, providing feedback and adapting lesson plans to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure every child receives the support they need.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and caregivers, sharing progress and building a strong home-school connection.
About You
We’re looking for a passionate and inspiring teacher who is enthusiastic about working with KS1 students. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, patience, and strong organizational skills, along with a commitment to fostering a supportive and fun learning environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching KS1 or Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) preferred.
- A solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum and developmentally appropriate teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and a nurturing, positive approach to teaching.
