Job Description

Is your career as rewarding as it could be? Are you frustrated with every day being utterly predictable?

If this is the case, have you ever considered a new challenge? We are looking for creative and positive support workers to work across our services in Chesterfield and surrounding areas, where we support over a hundred people.

This will be a very varied role working within one of three Learning Centres and, also, our Community Outreach Service, where you will be supporting people on a one to one basis in the community.

Supporting the people that draw on our support to connect with the local community is key to MacIntyre’s DNA.

MacIntyre’s ‘Everyone Everywhere’ approach is about seeing ourselves, our organisation and the people we support as contributors to our local neighbourhoods.

We believe that great support workers know what people like and need and they work hard to enable them to spend their time doing things they enjoy. This could be supporting someone to work as a volunteer, participating in a community litter pick or community garden project.

Your ability to drive unlocks the opportunities for people to do the things they want to do. So you must be a driver with a manual licence.

We have so many ideas to develop, so if you think you could be part of something ambitious, come and give us a hand and help people to ‘live a gloriously ordinary life’.

#IND1

You must be a driver with a manual licence, as you will be driving service vehicles.
