Legal Secretary – Agriculture and Estates
Job Description
Our client is a reputable, friendly firm based in Northampton. They have an exciting opportunity for a Secretary to join their Agriculture and Estates team. They are looking for someone with excellent secretarial skills to support with a range of tasks in a timely and efficient way. The person in this role will be responsible for providing an efficient secretarial and administrative service to fee earners and teams within the firm.
Please note previous Legal Secretary experience is essential, ideally in Agriculture and Estates or Commercial Property, but other areas will also be considered.
Our client will consider full time and part time candidates.
Legal Secretary – The Role:
- Performing a variety of administrative duties;
- Communicating with fee earners and clients;
- Drafting and completing letters, emails and legal documents;
- Transcribing and proof reading letters, emails and other correspondence;
- Document creation including copy typing manuscript amendments to documents and producing new versions of documents, preparing comparisons against previous versions and using track changes;
- Accurate typing from dictation;
- Answering the telephone professionally, taking accurate messages from clients and other contacts;
Legal Secretary- The Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary is essential
- Good typing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- IT Literate including Outlook
- Able to work as part of a team
- Takes a proactive approach to complete tasks
