Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Leisure and Spa Manager to oversee and enhance our leisure and spa facilities and services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting recreational activities and ensuring a high-quality experience for all guests This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional organisational abilities, and a customer-focused mindset to effectively manage daily operations and drive engagement within the community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement leisure programmes that cater to diverse interests and age groups.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of leisure and spa facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained and welcoming.
- Manage staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Utilise strong sales management techniques to promote leisure activities, spa treatments, spa retail and increase participation.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct regular assessments of programmes and facilities to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with local organisations to promote community events and partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within all leisure activities.
- Prepare reports on facility usage, customer feedback, and financial performance.
- Manage customer feedback effectively to ensure continuous service and programme improvement
- Instil brand values and standards to maintain quality on a daily basis
- Liaise with other hotel departments
- Ensure customers and guests receive friendly and consistent personalised service from all team members
- Recruit, manage, train and develop the team
- Positive working relationships to be established and maintained with colleagues throughout the hotel
- Achieve the Leisure Clubs annual budget and be accountable for maintaining and operating within financial targets
- Perform Duty Manager duties as required
- Ensure health, safety and COSHH regulations are complied with and club rules are observed by members, clients and guests
- Responsible for the overall management and performance of the Spa, ensuring high standards of professionalism, customer service and optimum financial performance
- Produce a monthly sales plan and execute special promotions to maximise daily revenue
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the leisure and spa sector is required.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and staff.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities to inspire and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
- Multilingual abilities are advantageous for engaging with a diverse clientele.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
