Job Description

We are seeking a confident hard-working individual to join our team as a Lettings/Property Administrator to work within an established student lettings company, on a full-time basis.

You must be a well organised, self-motivated team player, able to work well in a busy environment. Ideally you will have excellent customer service skills, and be able to work to deadlines and prioritise your workload.

Knowledge of the local area would be beneficial and a full clean driving licence is essential.

Your roles would include;

  • Registering applicants
  • Liaising with tenants, landlords and contractors
  • Responding to lettings enquiries
  • Organising property viewings
  • Releasing and protecting tenant deposits
  • Keeping files up to date (EPCs/Gas Safety/Electrical safety/Landlord License)
  • Overseeing tenant referencing processes and drawing up tenancy agreements
  • Dealing promptly and efficiently with telephone and email enquiries

The ideal applicant will;

  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Have a good command of written English and be competent with Microsoft Office, including Outlook & Excel
  • Have a positive attitude

Salary is based on experience and skills, plus opportunity to earn commission in addition to annual salary.

Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm, one in four Saturdays 10am to 4pm.

In house training provided.

Job Description:

Part-time, 20 hours, Permanent Salary: FTE £21,500.00 per year. Schedule: – Monday to Friday with some Saturday Mornings 9-1pm should it be necessary, although rare. Days & Hours to be discussed, will be required to be flexible to work full time to cover holidays etc. Paid holiday.

Use of Company Pool Car for any outside appointments, which could include property inspections, completions and property viewings etc.

*Key role; will be to help and support our general admin in the office, mostly office based, by we are flexible to help develop you further in other areas of the business if it suits. Full training will be given until you are comfortable in all areas. Good maintenance understanding or ability to problem solve would be an advantage.

*Other Responsibilities you could be helping with: * Call handling from tenants, landlords * Lettings advertising & negotiating * Complete inspection checklist’s * Calendar management * Dealing with admin for inventories, * Arrange gas safeties, electrical certificates and EPCs * Property inspection reporting * Resolving tenant enquiries and issues * Updating property management * Complaints handling * Renewal procedures *Other reasonable duties as and when required.

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Able to act professionally at all times.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
  • MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Outlook emails. – A Must Have!
  • A willingness to ‘muck in’ and carry out a variety of tasks as necessitated by a small business
  • The ability to work on own as well as taking direction from others but most importantly to manage their time effectively.
  • ARLA Propertymark Lettings Courses are offered as part of this role.
