Salary: Grade 7, £32,654 – £35,235 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent position

Denbighshire’s Fleet Services Team operate across the county, with its main workshop in Bodelwyddan, providing Vehicle and Plant Maintenance for all the county’s assets and other public and private customers. Additionally, we are an MOT Testing Hub for all sizes of vehicles, and work closely with our partners at the DVSA to provide businesses in Denbighshire with vehicle testing appointments within the community.
All our staff undertake regular training and development opportunities, made available to all staff who are keen to grow their skills within our industry. The nature of the service means a flexible approach to work, ensuring we can meet the demands of the council’s priorities.
Our team provides a 24/7, 365 support to all the council departments and team operates an Out of Hours rota, for which staff receive a Standby Allowance payment, on average this can amount to £2000 per annum.
In addition to our LGV Mechanic role, the Council would also consider applications from candidates who are currently in college and about to enter the industry; those that have some experience but not quite at the required level. We have introduced a career grade for this purpose, details of this can be provided on request.
