We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate nursery assistant for our children’s nursery. The successful candidate will be an organised team-player. We are a family-run day nursery and are looking for someone who will fit well into a family ethos.

- Position: Full-time & Permanent (we may consider part-time)
- Location: Keeley’s Nursery, Horsham
- Annual Leave: 22 days paid holiday plus 8 days statutory holidays (pro rata)
- Working hours: between 15-20 hours per week on an 5 hours shift basis covering lunch hours from 9:30am to 2:30pm
- Working days: Monday – Friday
Requirements
- Experience in an early years environment is beneficial
- Excellent references
- Able to organise and work within a team
- Good understanding of partnership with parents
- Knowledge of learning and development within the Early Years is beneficial

Curiosity Approach Inspired Learning
A keen interest in developing knowledge and practice of Curiosity Approach is important as we embark on our Curiosity Approach Accreditation.
Duties
- Assisting the Nursery Cook in the preparation of weekly menus, catering for all children, in line with the food and drink policy
- To maintain adequate stores and food stuffs in appropriate storage conditions.
- To ensure the kitchen and all kitchen equipment is kept clean and tidy
- To clean and defrost fridge and freezer as necessary
- To observe high standards of food hygiene during the preparation, cooking and serving of all foods
- To maintain high standards of personal hygiene and personal appearance in accordance with the Company’s hygiene policy
- To cover in the rooms, caring for the children during staff lunchtime
Responsibilities
