Job Description

We are a locally expanding civil construction, material management, hydro vac, and maintenance company in search of a full time Heavy-Duty Maintenance Supervisor. We have several ongoing projects working with all levels of government, and prominent private sector organizations.

As the Maintenance Supervisor you and your team will be responsible for working on all company assets for repair, maintenance, and rebuilds. Including but not limited to Kenworth, Peterbilt, Western Star, Volvo, Cat, Doosan Yellow Iron, R6 Crushers, Screeners, Trash Pumps, Light Towers, etc.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage all fleet equipment.
  • Manage, forecast, and track maintenance budget.
  • Oversight of all work conducted at main shop, jobsites, and multiple yards.
  • Travel to multiple locations, to conduct company business.
  • Coordinate workload and scheduling for 5-10 employees.
  • Manage staffing requirements, hiring new/additional personnel.
  • Effectively manage the fleet and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Maintain and develop positive working relationships with our suppliers.
  • Must work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Implement a mentorship program for junior mechanics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Lead by example.
  • Make sound business decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
  • Previous management or leadership experience is required.
  • Licensed Red seal mechanic 5-10 years of experience working with dump trucks and yellow iron.
  • Must possess a Valid Class (1/3/5) Drivers License.
  • Shall be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Effectively communicate through e-mails, phone/conference calls, text messages, ect.
  • Computer skills including use of MS programs, Share Point, Inventory Management software, and diagnostic software systems.
  • Must have own reliable transportation.
  • A thorough understanding of the Lower Mainland.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
