JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the repair of a wide variety of specialized equipment in an assigned group of 7-Eleven (family of brands) stores within a geographic area. Service calls are initiated from the store via 7Help work orders to appropriate technician. Position reports to the Area Facilities Manager.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job responsibilities and qualifications may be superseded by local, provincial or federal regulations

· Responds to work orders for a wide variety of in-store equipment which include, but may not be limited to Minor repairs of HVAC, minor repairs to refrigeration, hot beverage equipment (ex. coffee, cappuccino) , cold beverage equipment (ex. tea, fountain, FBD/Taylor, FCB, creamer machine), fountain/backroom ice makers, Hot food equipment (ex. fryers, griddles tortilla presses, ovens, roller grills, warmers), fuel dispensers (ex. printers, displays card readers, hanging hardware) etc.

· Responds to work orders related to plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues, including working outside on building/roof.

· Exemplifies the 7-Eleven Values and Leadership Principles

· Responsible for ordering and management of parts inventory on truck

· Responsible for replacing ‘plug and play’ equipment as needed

· Schedules and prioritizes duties and work assignments on a daily basis

· Responsible for ordering and management of parts inventory for truck

· Completes required reports and paperwork daily to account for the time and use of parts and materials

· Observes and inspects equipment to determine if servicing or further action is required

· Reads, interprets, and follows procedures described in service manuals per manufacturer guidelines

· Calibrates pumps, dispensers and other equipment in accordance with legal standards

· Recommends when an outside contractor is required to handle a maintenance issue

· Provides training to less experienced technicians as needed

· Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by management

· Complies with and follows all safety regulations and protocols

· Works after hours calls during regular working days and works a rotational schedule of stores covering off peers on weekends and stat holidays

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School/GED

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 2+ years

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

· Show Leadership

· Peer to Peer Tech support

· Effective communication

· Requires little to no direct supervision

· Provides advice and guidance to less experienced personnel as needed

· Projects/Stretch assignments

· Facility location ownership

· Ability to lead the team (meetings, projects…)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 45 per week
