Job Description

We’re hiring for an experienced Mechanical Vehicle Fitter to join a dedicated and skilled workforce at an advanced manufacturing facility based in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Vehicle Fitter?

• Performing tasks as necessitated by your role within the organisation and its overall business objectives
• Maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles in line with industry standards
• Diagnosing faults using technical documents and tools
• Implementing quality, safety, and environmental systems and processes
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
• Maintaining a high standard of planning and organisation to ensure efficient operation
• Communicating effectively with team members and management

What do you need?

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Heavy Mechanical Fitter
• HGV Mechanic/Mechanical Engineering Certification (City and Guilds / NVQ)
• Experience in vehicle assembly or maintenance (Desirable)
• A solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills
