Job Description

Overview:

Masstemps are currently looking for an experienced MIG Welder for one of our busy clients in the Oldbury area. Due to a period of growth they are looking to add a skilled production welder to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • MIG welding to an accurate, high standard.
  • Working efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.
  • Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required

About you:

We are looking for an experienced MIG Welder, with a demonstrated background of welding mild steel components. You must be able to work efficiently and independently, to meet production targets.

Working hours: 7:30am – 4pm with a 12:30pm Friday finish

Pay rate: starting at £12.35 per hr, increasing to £14.57 after twelve weeks.

This is a temp to perm opportunity.

MiG Welder – Full Time – Market Weighton

Montracon are currently recruiting for a MiG Welder to join an established team based in Market Weighton.

Criteria

  • Qualification and or working experience in fabrication & welding
  • Previous experience with body building and manufacturing
  • Confident in use of hand and electrical tools
  • previous experience in refurbs would be be advantageous
  • A “can do” attitude towards work
  • Experience of practicing good housekeeping and have knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace
  • An excellent attendance and timekeeping record
  • Overhead crane experience and or licence
  • Confident in usage of grinders and other heavy welding, burning, and cutting equipment
  • A good eye for detail and willingness to learn

Hours:

  • 9 hours Mon – Thu and 4 hours on a Friday

Job Description

MIG WELDER – DONCASTER – £15.59

Montracon is one of the leading trailer manufacturers serving the UK, Ireland and export markets and offers high quality, diverse product portfolio. We are now looking for Welders on a permanent basis to work at our Factory in Doncaster.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Work in accordance with Company operating procedures and guidelines.· Read and assess production information for required specification details, working in an organised manner to ensure the task is completed efficiently, to the correct standard and within the necessary time frame.

· Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form

· Ensure the safe operation of machinery within the area of responsibility.

· Assist in other areas of production within capabilities and commensurate with a level in the Company as and when required

· Identify unsafe working conditions.

· Continually identify and suggest improvements to process, quality, waste management, visual management etc.

· Report any defects to welding and cutting equipment to Team Leader.

· Identify unsafe conditions regarding welding, cutting and any associated equipment

· Use a variety of handheld tools and crane operation to build trailers in accordance with SOPs

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND COMPETENCIES

· Experience in using oxygen/acetylene, MIG and various hand & power tools to perform, welding/cutting/drilling functions in the fabrication and/or repair of all types of metals.

· Welding vocational training or equivalent is desirable.

· Knowledge of the practices and procedures associated with the welding trade.

· General knowledge of the tools and equipment used in the fabrication and repair of metal.

· General knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of welding / fabricating work.

· Skill in the use and care of hand and power tools and equipment necessary to perform welding/fabrication and repair tasks.

· Ability to utilise various welding machinery and methods to fabricate and repair metal.

· Requires the ability to inspect items for proper length, width and shape.

· Good manual dexterity requires the ability to handle a variety of items such as hand tools.

· Experience in the manufacture of trailers and trailer bodies is desirable
