About Us – We are a fast growing national Commercial Cleaning & Support Services Company specialising in both contract and one-off cleaning. We provide a variety of services including builders/sparkle cleans, deep cleans, one-off cleaning, regular contract cleaning, window cleaning, carpet/floor cleaning, pre/post tenancy cleaning, communal block cleaning

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Cleaning Operative to join our team; this is a ‘hands-on’ role and you will be fully involved in delivering our cleaning services across a variety of sites.

You will be on the road every day so a full driving licence is essential and a company van will be available for the right applicant. Supervisory experience is also an advantage.

The ideal applicant will be based in the Peterborough area however must be flexible and confident to cover further afield as necessary. eg Lincolnshire, London, Essex

General Job Overview

– you will be responsible for ensuring we are providing high-quality cleaning services on sites you are on

– step in to cover shifts as necessary

– carry out/assist with deep cleans/one-off cleans or setting up sites as necessary

– drop off/collect supplies and equipment to sites as necessary

– assist with auditing sites once fully trained

Person Specification

– A minimum of 2 years commercial cleaning experience preferred

– Experience as a mobile cleaner/cover cleaner would be ideal

– Fairly tech savvy as we use a range of systems for time and attendance, sign offs, audits

– Able to work alone or in a team

– You need to be flexible, proactive and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude. You should be calm under pressure and of course be able to clean to an exceptionally high standard.

– A valid DBS certificate would be useful but not essential

– Relevant supervisory experience and qualification is an advantage but not necessary.

– You must have an excellent standard of English and customer service, communication, time management and organisational skills.

Hours
Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work. approximately 06.30/07.00am – 17.00. Hours vary depending on daily schedules and best times to avoid traffic.

Pay
£14.50 p/hr, paid from arrival on first site of the day – paid monthly, PAYE, accrued holliday pay. Self-employed welcome also.

Job Role

Hours

Purpose of the role:

Reporting directly into the Team Area Manager, this is a key role within the Operations team where your performance ensures the consistent and seamless delivery of both outstanding cleaning and customer service throughout our customers. This position is a customer facing mobile position where you are expected to attend various sites throughout each day, covering for planned and unplanned absence and quite often working across split shifts.

This role is a hands-on cleaning position as well as occasionally, a supervisory role. As part of your role you will support Team leaders to ensure new starters in the business are set up and trained in their new.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will be the first point of contact for covering holidays and troubleshooting for the Divisional Manager
  • You will assist the Area Manager and Divisional Manager with any employee issues where necessary
  • General cleaning duties to be carried out in line with Mrs Bucket’s quality standards, including but not limited to; dusting, mopping, hoovering, emptying bins, deep cleans
  • You will be involved in training our new starters and existing cleaning team
  • Any ad- hoc duties that arise due to the needs of the business
