Day to day duties:
  • Carrying out reactive repairs in unoccupied properties
  • Responsible for duties to include but not limited to – hanging doors, skirting, architraves, fixing windows / doors, lock changes, repairing worktops, kitchen units, fitting new bathrooms general plumbing repairs, painting and decorating, Plastering etc
  • Providing high levels of customer care at all times
Role Criteria:
  • Plumbing or Carpentry as a core trade, Experience in Plastering, Painting & Decorating
  • Worked in Similar Environment
  • Worked within Social housing.
  • UK Full driving License

About the Role:
A Multi Skilled Operative within our Eastbourne branch will support residents with responsive repairs across our portfolio of properties working on a planned route. Part of a local team undertaking high standard Multi Trade repairs and refurbishment activities to housing properties delivering best in class customer service and satisfying all safety, quality, and cost control standards. You will have a certified core trade and complimenting this can deliver additional trade activities in support of completing repair/refurbishment works on time and to a high standard in accordance with agreed standard operating procedures. Take ownership in undertaking construction, fault finding and maintenance repairs aiming for a first-time completion whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
  • You will have a certified core trade and complimenting this have the ability to deliver additional trade activities in support of completing repair/refurbishment works on time and to a high standard in accordance with agreed standard operating procedures.
  • Take ownership in undertaking construction, fault finding and maintenance repairs aiming for a first-time completion whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
  • Ensure that the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with service users, clients, and both internal/external stakeholders This includes but is not limited to appearance, company ID, condition of vehicles and maintaining a high standard of Health & Safety requirements. It may be necessary where requested to obtain Customer feedback on completion of works.
  • Process all activities in association with tasks/works electronically utilising a handheld device (PDA). This includes but not limited to Worksheets, timesheets, photographic evidence of works before – during – after, van stock replenishment, booking of annual leave, vehicle inspections, safeguarding issues, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Keep all supplied company assets in a good condition in line with the company policies and report to your Supervisor/Manager where damages occur.
  • Utilise existing stock or collect materials as and when required to meet works order requirements, in accordance with standard operating procedures for purchasing and van stock control compliance.
  • Attend informal and formal meetings and training sessions as required.
Key Criteria:
  • Multi-Skilled Experience: Proficiency in joinery, plumbing, tiling, plastering, and decorating.
  • Trade Qualifications: A relevant qualification or experience in at least three trades.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate effectively.
  • Driving Licence: Possession of a full driving licence.

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate Multi Skilled Operative to join our rapidly expanding team to work within a busy repairs / voids team environment. Reporting individual job actions from site to ensure our clients receive high levels of service and high satisfaction levels as well.
As a Multi Skilled Operative with MPS, you will be working on our Void properties preparing houses for tenants. You’ll have involvement with larger jobs like bathroom and Kitchen fittings as well as smaller, reactive repairs and maintenance across our portfolio of properties. Working from ‘job’ to ‘job’, on your planned route with a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks.
You’ll need plenty of previous experience and a positive ‘can do’ attitude to excel in this role, meeting new people and delivering high standards of work and service are key.
Role Criteria
  • NVQ Level 3 in either Plumbing, Carpentry or Decorating
  • Extensive experience with additional multi skills including; tiling, plastering and other trade not qualified in
  • Excellent communication skills
  • And a full UK driving licence

About the Role:
As a Multi Skilled Operative with MPS you will be working on our Major Repairs team on larger jobs (Anything that takes more than a day) out supporting residents with reactive repairs and maintenance across our portfolio of properties, working from ‘job’ to ‘job’, on your planned route with a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks.
You’ll need plenty of previous experience and a positive ‘can do’ attitude to excel in this role, meeting new people and delivering high standards of work and service are key.
Although the role is based in Croydon, there is travel in and around Medway/Chatham also. A company van and fuel card is provided for the travel.
Role Criteria:
  • Extensive on the job experience in multiple trades such as Plumbing, Joinery, Tiling, Plastering, Decorating, Bathroom & Kitchen Fitting etc.
  • Hold a Full UK Driving License
  • Have own power tools
  • Be a great team player as well the ability to work under your own initiative
  • Excellent communication and Customer service skills
  • Ideally hold a trade qualification especially if you don’t have much first hand experience

About the role
We are looking for experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join our Response Team in Gillingham. Working with Medway Council on a variety of residential works, working in occupied, void properties and communal areas, our team produce work to the highest standards and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • You will have a certified core trade and complimenting this have the ability to deliver additional trade activities in support of completing repair/refurbishment works on time and to a high standard in accordance with agreed standard operating procedures.
  • Take ownership in undertaking construction, fault finding and maintenance repairs aiming for a first time completion whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
  • Ensure that the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with service users, clients, and both internal/external stakeholders This includes but is not limited to appearance, company ID, condition of vehicles and maintaining a high standard of Health & Safety requirements. It may be necessary where requested to obtain Customer feedback on completion of works.
  • Process all activities in association with tasks/works electronically utilising a hand held device (PDA). This includes but not limited to Worksheets, timesheets, photographic evidence of works before – during – after, van stock replenishment, booking of annual leave, vehicle inspections, safeguarding issues, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Keep all supplied company assets in a good condition in line with the company policies and report to your Supervisor/Manager where damages occur.
  • Utilise existing stock or collect materials as and when required to meet works order requirements, in accordance with standard operating procedures for purchasing and van stock control compliance.
  • Attend informal and formal meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Participate in call out cover if and when required to ensure contract compliance & service user satisfaction for emergency repairs
Role Criteria;
  • UK Full Driving Licence
  • Previous experience in Plumbing and carpentry, additional plastering, tiling.
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team and by yourself
