We’re looking for energetic, enthusiastic individuals with a can-do attitude to work as a Multi Trade for our well-established client

Pay rates : £21.18per hour

Shift pattern : Monday – Friday 08.00 – 16.30

Total: 36 hour per week

Responsibilities:

  • To carry out building repairs, maintenance, renewals and replacements within a multitude of trade disciplines ranging from routine reactive repairs to large scale programmed refurbishment work and occupational therapy adaptations in occupied and void housing properties and other Council owned premises in accordance with best trade practice and to current standards and regulations.
  • To carry out works to a consistently high standard of quality and customer satisfaction and complete works ‘Right First Time’.

Repairs and maintenance work requires an adaptable approach to be taken in the delivery of services to tenants.

  • To be responsible for completing a range of Repair & Maintenance work to a professional standard and highly productive level, acting with minimum supervision and a large degree of self management.
  • Carry out to the highest standard all aspects of repair / renewal work to items in various trades such as ground works, carpentry, plumbing, glazing and finishing trades (painting & decorating, plastering / tilling). Undertake a broad range of multi-skilled repair activities to provide a comprehensive repair service.
  • To maintain a level of knowledge and skill necessary to effectively perform the duties of the post and comply with any appropriate standards of continuing professional development.
  • Work in a range of properties throughout the Borough, including occupied tenancies and offices and unoccupied buildings. Providing a service to a diverse range of customer and clients adopting and adhering to Customer Services and Equal Opportunities policies whilst being responsive to conflicting priorities based on resident need, vulnerability and corporate policy.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work at heights.
  • Must hold a current driving license.
  • City and Guild Multi-skilled NVQ 3 or equivalent
  • Understanding of issues around the delivery of maintenance and refurbishment contracts in relation to a housing repairs environment.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and codes of practice including H&S, Building Regulations, Fire Regulations, etc.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: £21.18 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
