McBraida is a leading and innovative manufacturing company specialising in precision components for the aerospace industry. We take pride in our strong focus on innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. We’re pioneers in aerospace engineering. Across our two facilities we have a total of 70 CNC machines. The majority of these are milling and turning centres, but we also have excellent grinding and EDM (electrical dis-charge machining) capabilities to manufacture the more difficult and intricate features. We produce components for the leading manufacturers in the civil, commercial military and marine industries.
Due to continued commercial success, we have an exciting opportunity, for a hardworking individual, to join our Inspection team as a Non Destructive Test Inspector. The department are responsible special process inspection of parts before they are passed for the final quality check. Main Duties and Responsibilities
As an integral part of this team, you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in:
- Using multiple Inspection methods to ensure quality and conformity.
- Investigating non-conformance to find root causes.
- Using and maintaining top of the range measuring equipment.
- Effectively work within a team environment, communicating with fellow team members and members of other production teams.
- Working in line with internal processes.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
This list highlights key aspects of the role but is not exhaustive. You will need to be prepared to undertake other reasonable duties as and when required.
If you have experience in inspection within aircraft, manufacturing and/or multiple complex components we would be especially excited to hear from you.
To apply for this role, you must be able to provide documented training certification for Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection and/or Magnetic Particle Inspection from a BINT accredited training organisation. In addition, we will require evidence of completion of the required experience hours for the certified discipline, signed by either a Level II or Level III Inspector to accompany the training documentation.
An in date Level II UKNANDTB Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection and/or Magnetic Particle Inspection using fluorescent wet continuous method qualification certificate would be advantageous to those applying for this role.

Working Patterns
Standard shift patterns will be 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm alternating weeks however we allow our team to arrange their workload to finish early on Fridays.

Are you able to provide evidence of completion of a minimum of 400 documented experience hours in Penetrant inspection showing supervision by either a Level II inspector or a Level III in Fluorescent penetrant inspection methods A,D etc? Evidence of a signed/stamped letter from current/previous Level III stating completion of these hours will be acceptable. (You will be required to be produce this prior to an offer being made)
- b. Are you able to provide a documented training certificate from a BINDT accredited training organisation verifying completion of a minimum of 32 documented training hours in penetrant inspection that meets EN4179 / NAS410 requirements? (You will be required to be produce this prior to an offer being made)
- c. Are you able to provide evidence of completion of a minimum of 530 documented experience hours showing supervision by either a Level II inspector or a Level III in Magnetic Particle Inspection (Fluorescent, wet continuous method)
Evidence of a signed/stamped letter from current/previous Level III stating completion of these hours will be acceptable. (You will be required to be produce this prior to an offer being made)
- d. Are you able to provide a documented training certificate from a BINDT accredited training organisation (such as Lavenders, SWS, NDT Consultants etc) verifying completion of a minimum of 32 documented training hours in Magnetic Particle Inspection that meets EN4179 / NAS410 requirements? (You will be required to be produce this prior to an offer being made)
