Currently in the last stages of construction, Kingsway View is seeking Night Care Assistants to join us on this exciting new journey. Providing residential, respite, dementia and nursing care, with 80 state of the art rooms for residents to reside in, spacious dining and lounge areas, an on-site café, floor to ceiling windows, and so much more, we are excited to be bringing this opportunity to Derby!

With the desire to always improve and develop their staff skillset, you will be encouraged to progress and develop skills, qualifications and training with the support of the company, so no experience is required!

As a Night Care Assistant, you will receive;

  • Full time, permanent contract
  • 38.5 hours per week, 3 on 3 off, 8pm-8am
  • 6 weekly rolling rota, making it easier to maintain that all essential work/life balance!
  • £12 per hour, depending on experience and training
  • Derby-based with fantastic transport links – DE22 3ZB

As a Night Care Assistant, you will;

  • Assisting residents with their personal hygiene and retiring to bed for the evening and assist with washing and dressing when rising each morning, whilst ensuring optimum levels of independence, dignity and respect of individuals
  • Completing routine welfare checks throughout the night to ensure residents are safe and well
  • Respond promptly to calls for assistance whilst respecting, at all times, the privacy, dignity and choice of residents
  • Provide friendship and companionship to residents, supporting not only their physical needs but also their emotional and social wellbeing
  • Closely monitor residents who may be confused and/or have behaviours that may challenge
  • To take notes on our electronic care planning software and handover to the day staff at the end of the shift

Ideally, as a Night Care Assistant you will have;

  • Experience of working within a caring environment
  • NVQ L2 in Direct Care
  • The ability to communicate well and make others feel welcomed and comfortable
  • Supervisory and leadership skills, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire
  • Willingness to develop new skills
